Information about different materials

Here you can read about how to handle different materials to avoid damage to items such as marble, stone, wooden floors, wooden furniture, or other delicate objects.

We always treat customers' homes with care; never make hasty decisions! If you are unsure about which cleaning agent or material to use, always contact your team leader for advice to avoid potential damage in the customer's home.

If there is a stain you are unsure how to remove, leave it instead of risking trying to remove it. If it doesn't come off with dish soap and a soft cloth, leave it. Never scrub with a sponge with a rough surface or Swinto.

Marble and stone

  • Only use water to clean marble countertops and stone tables
  • NEVER use any harsh cleaning agents on stone or marble
  • Lift all loose items on marble to prevent scratching the stone. The same applies to wooden tables and countertops.

Objects on tables and benches

  • When there are objects on furniture and countertops that need cleaning, such as a vase or pot, lift the item and place it somewhere out of the way while cleaning the surface – never drag objects on furniture or counters, as it can leave scratches.
  • Always place the items back in the same spot where they were before.
  • Tip! If you don't remember how it looked before you moved the item, take a photo so you put them back  in same place

  • The mop should be placed in the bucket
  • Cloths should be placed in the bucket or a plastic bag
  • Alternatively, place used materials directly in the washing machine.
